The first step for all new clients (or clients whose last visit was more than a year ago) is to contact us and submit a request for services form so we can assess your unique needs.
Next, you will receive information about available services, orientation, eligibility, registration process, and be given the opportunity to speak with knowledgeable staff.
Your assigned employment counselor will work with you one-on-one to help you reach your employment and training goals.

Workforce Development Board
Think of the Bergen County Workforce Development Board as your link to the public workforce system, a local expert on workforce development matters, and fellow innovators of workforce solutions.
The Bergen WDB does not operate programs or provide direct services — it is a business-led policy, planning, and oversight body that supports employment-related programs for youth, adult workers, and businesses.
The Bergen WDB works to identify workforce issues, develop workforce partnerships, implement workforce solutions, and measure workforce investment results.

Pursuant to the Open Public Meetings Act, notice is hereby given that the Bergen County Workforce Development Board will hold its regularly scheduled Public Board Meeting On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in person. All Board meetings are scheduled to start at 8:30 am. This meeting will take place in the Bergen County Learning Center, located at One Bergen County Plaza, 4th Floor, Hackensack, NJ 07601. Formal action may be taken.
